Kiji Sushi

Editorial Review

Easily a top-10 SF sushi spot, beloved by locals and still relatively undiscovered. Bright, leafy front room belies a dark, sexy back room. Wildly fresh, colorful cuts, and beautifully simple presentation reflects the sushimanship philosophy of founder Eddie Hong. The Lantern roll -- flounder and shiso tempura rolled in soy paper -- is typical of the creative house specialties, though we like omakase (leaving it to the chef). Well-curated sake menu.
