A steakhouse with impeccable style and sweetly refined ambiance that's an affordable alternative to the city's noxiously over-hyped other "Royal." Generous sides and an extensive selection of gins compliment the main entrées. After a candle-lit dinner of oysters and entrecote, trade the restaurant's flirtatious glow for the seriously seductive velvet ensconced 1920's throwback parlor, where schnapps and cigars, handsome Chesterfield sofas and a striking fireplace offer glamorous sanctuary from freezing winter nights. In warmer months, outside seating on the canal is popular, even if only for a mid-day coffee.
