Editorial Review

Once a scary shithole full of Tenderloin derelicts, ne’er-do-wells, trannies, hookers and tranny-hookers, basic space got a smart, straightforward makeover from the classy owners of Tunnel Top (without losing the sign) and now anchors the west end of the burgeoning “Geary strip.” Neat cocktail specials, genuinely affable bartenders and actually talented DJs, including Monday soul night. Catches overflow crowd from noisy neighbor Edinburgh Castle.
