Renovated turn-of-the-centuty Palermo house we always wanted to infiltrate. Less than a dozen lovely rooms facing out to the quaint patio, where we read thick Balzac tomes to impress other guests, who tend to the sophisticated and the urbane, much unlike us. Bath tubs are old school, cast iron numbers - ideal for a nice long bath while your 19th century chambermaid du jour rubs you down like it's 1867 and you're Felicitas Guerrero getting ready for her wedding to Martin Alzaga.
