Kunitoraya, a well-loved but rather bare-bones canteen on the rue Saint-Anne, has just opened a pricey new Japanese restaurant on the tiny rue Villedo. Light and sleek, with plenty of mirrors to highlight the work of the open kitchen, K2 has already established itself as a destination for celebrity (udon) slurping. The dishes start at an eyebrow-raising €18, but that includes the spectacle of models dribbling soup down the front of their tank tops.
