La Bodega

Editorial Review

Spanish chef serves authentic staples like grilled calamari, tortilla Española, and montaditos (the chorizo, Serrano ham, goat cheese, and quail egg one is a must) to a young but sparse crowd—blame the city, not the restaurant. Wine list features well-priced Spanish reds, but there's really no reason to look past a pitcher, or six, of sangria. Barren interior though makes one wonder if Franco's still in charge. Shares a kitchen, but not price point, with adjacent upmarket De La Torre's.
