La Maroq books all the best bands to play in its underground concert hall. Check the calendar here, book tickets in advance (they sell out quick) then hook up before the show in the ground-level bar. All the indie kids will be there downing over-priced pints and talking about last week's Bon Iver show. The restaurant inside is barely passable, but gets the job done if you need grub before or after the concert. Open every day.
