La Méditerranée

Editorial Review

Amidst a sea of pricey and pretentious Fillmore Street cafes La Med's one of the best dinner deals in town. Greatest hits: Mediterranean Meza plate, tender chicken pomegranate platter, hand-rolled Chicken Cilicia fillo, and spiced lamb balls (bet you can't eat just one). East Village bohemian beauties serving up practically-giving-it-away grub in a lively, colorful setting. At these prices, the locals are suspicious. Second location at 288 Noe Street at Beaver (I said “beaver”).
