Steins hang from the low A-frame rafters, bowls of salted pork fat sit on the bar and special tinctures clutter up the back of this German bar next to flags, weathered Oktoberfest posters, decorative plates and all manner of Bavarian collectibles. Humble booths are lit with hanging stained-glass lamps where all manner of thirty-something denizens stop in for legendary rouladen (meat rolls filled with bacon, onion and pickles), sauerkraut and buttery spaetzel (defibrillators not included).
