Joel Robuchon’s latest opus is a distillation of the legendary chef’s perfection. I use the word “distillation” on purpose—this is a tiny little restaurant on the 4th floor of a mall. Extract the grandeur of Robuchon’s The Mansion and you get L’Atelier. The food is pure Robuchon, the prices are reasonable, and he must’ve put something illegal in the desserts because they’re unconscionably addictive. But if you order tea, you best have some biceps on you—the cast iron teapot could double for a dumbbell.
