Long-time restauranteur Jean-Paul Arabian kisses his habitués near the zinc bar and congratulates them on slumming it so close to Montparnasse. The men watch the women and the women watch the flat screen. Plenty of fashion programming both on and off the set - a lot of posing on the red velvet banquettes. The food, thankfully. is more than decoration - comforting bistrot fare (steak, duck confit) done exceptionally well. The foie de veau (veal liver) is a stunner.
