BlackBook Lowdown

Colonial chic bar in the backyard of Bastille that's been recently brought back to life. The China Club was, for decades, the place for posh cocktails on the east side of Paris.The slightly renamed but largely unchanged "China" still provides a swanky stiff-drink prelude for couples with love on their minds. Occasional concerts and an in-house restaurant, but the cocktails are really the point.
