The crown jewel of the Costes family’s dining and nightlife empire, in spite of fashion-victim hotel guests and food that doesn’t stand up to other neighborhood options. Ground-floor lounge/resto one of the sceniest cocktail spots in town. Six neo-boudoir rooms, with varying dispensations of gilt, wood, and mirror, ring an open atrium that’s packed all summer and tented in winter. The whole overpriced blood and midnight-velvet affair is gorgeously fake, like much of the clientele, but fun nonetheless. Reservations recommended for drinks.
