Paris » Restaurant » Oberkampf » Bistro
In this simple brick and wood space you’ll find one of the best dinner options around the über-trendy bar zone of Oberkampf. Olivier Gaslain’s table dates from the first wave of bistros modernes in the early ’90s, and it’s been going strong ever since. Look for wild mushroom and hare consommé, sherry-braised lamb’s tongue, saffron-scented langoustine with chorizo, poached skate, creamy escargot, and seasonal game. Tucked away on a sidestreet with little car traffic, the terrace is lovely on warm nights. Stay for dessert and a wooden box of cheeses. Menu at €30, degustation at €50.
