Le Zinc French Bistro

Editorial Review

Petite and pretty piece of Paris on left coast (and pronounced "zang"). Freelancers bordering on unemployed kill prime working hours over nicoise salad and croque monsieur while Norah Jones works it out. Owners know their vin (they did own a wine bar in Paris), concentrating on French with some California thrown in for good measure. House-smoked salmon, escargot in garlic butter, Niman Ranch steak frites, fresh oysters, and leafy patio seating. Spotty service, though some might call it authentic French.
