Palm fronds and gilded ceilings provide a glimpse of old Imperial days, while semi-exotic, spandex-friendly waitresses place you firmly downtown. The nigh-unpronounceable menu (try saying "korhogofefemougou" with gravitas) is a colonial mishmash of tropical and continental flavors. It works, though, justifying the stray this far south and the sometimes crap service. Pina coladas are served at all times, they just adopt a fancy French moniker from dusk to dawn. Some weird Gallic vampire thing.
