Boring and couded R&B, hip-hop and ra.p only

Posted by honoluluturist on Sunday, January 25, 2009

Have been to level4 twice, first time a Saturday late 2008 and second time Saturday 24 January 2009 . Both times sucked big time, only place I have seen such a dull crowd on a Saturday night is my hometown with a population of 8000 people and that town is known for it`s lousy nightlife compared to other small towns. Honolulu must have the worst DJ`s in the world, they play a bad selection of R&B, hip-hop and rap all night. Have you seen intoxicated people trying to dance to that shit, It`s pathetic at best. Most people needs a well defined heavy rhythm to dance to, not some thing just sugesting a rhythm hidden somewhere. The DJ`s played some good songs but when the crowd started to dance they quickly switched back to the lousy R&B undancable crap again. Starting to think they do it on purpose to make people drink more. There was also a circus show thingy every 30 minutes for 5 to 10 minutes where everyone stopped what they where doing and stood there watching, did not help it was boring. Seems to me like all the clubs in Honolulu play only lousy R&B, hip-hop and rap. Why don`t they play music that most people can dance to? Even professional dancers look like they have a hard time trying to dance to that crap. Honolulu in the winter is a tourist trap without any tourist and bad nightlife.

Way to end a vacation

So here’s the scoop I was on the Island for a week did just about every things saw the sites played in the ocean found Nemo the only thing missing from my vacation was the night life. I checked out the back street of Wakiki if 18 year olds still in high school mixed with dumb military guys are your thing then that’s the place for you. I was ready to give up until my waitress at cheese cake factory told me about this place called level 4 a 21+ classy upscale club. The dress code was sticky enforced so there were no scrubs up in the place. When a arrived to the place there was already a line and thought to myself this place better be good with a line this long. Cover wasn’t bad. When entering the place they were playing electronic music mixed with hip hop and rap I remember thinking to myself were is the dance floor this place is just a lounge area that was until I discover the other room. It was huge, a big movie sized screen a stage with sexy island girl dances crazy lights and the dance floor that my friends and I were searching for. The music was was bumpin the DJ controlled the mood of the crowed playing a lot of hip hop and rap mixes as the night went on and a few more shots I noticed that the place was packed this was a great place with off the hook music very high class place next time im on the island im going back there.

What We Needed Visiting Hawaii

The place was bumping... me and my girlfriends showed up in our best attire because we heard this club was the place to be! after visiting other nightclubs in the area we are glad we found this one! The other clubs were some what trashy compared to Level 4. we waited in a long line but it moved fast and was worth it. we paid a cover but is expected at any club. once we got inside we met some nice dressed men to buy us some drinks and they showed us around. the inside was HUGE! not what we expected from the view outside, there was a theatre like room that had a huge stage and tons of lights! this was Vegas in Hawaii for sure! the gentlemen we met had ordered bottle service inside and we chilled with them for awhile. we returned the favor by treating them to drinks the following night again at Level 4! This place made our nights in Hawaii, we all had so much fun there and cant wait to go back when we fly back for 4th of July!

My New Hot Spot

I managed to get in early having heard from a friend that the place was great but get in early to avoid the line. having been there earlr we walked through the ropes and made our way into what is the ultralounge there are three bars and i couldnt find a place to dance. I followed the corridor around the lounge where I spotted a waitress and asked her if there was a dance floor. She smiled and nodded yes and walked me and my friendsfurther down the corridor to what was to my suprise an extremely massive dance floor. I tipped the waitress for being our guide to our El Darado. Plenty of women to men no teenagers and plenty of class. living here in Hawaii one can only really go to a nice bar trying not to end up at Zanza Bar where its all older military and young girls with fake id's. This place is heaven and i haven't got over it since I started coming.Plent of interesting tourist to meet and the people in the club are so relaxed no tense atmosphere its great. I recomend this to anyone who is coming to visit and those that live here!!
