Bad lighting, Buddha statue, red vinyl booths and the banging of dice cups at this Chinatown mainstay. No karaoke here, but a bare-bones performance space in the basement, supposedly a former opium den, hosting miniscule rock acts and the occasional impromptu mod party. Beer served in plastic cups is drink of choice, and MJ circa “Thriller” is the musical backdrop. It is what it is, and we like it.
