The natives were restless the morning after they learned Jack White went to this relic after a Raconteurs show. The building dates back to the mid-’30s. That’s when a relative of newsman Bob Schieffer owned it under a different name. Tight t-shirts and stubble is now a common look bellied-up at the quarter-sawn oak bar. There, drinking stiffies is a reflex even for the ladies.
