There are more sumptuous, more gorgeous places to get a massage or a facial. This one is extremely pared down, but it has everything a person needs from a day spa, and they do it incredibly well. (Going for a massage? Request Patrina.) It's in a strip mall on one of L.A.'s busiest streets, but still calm and quiet. And you can pop over to the Japanese market next door for some apres-kneading sushi.
