Lovely Day

Editorial Review

This funky restaurant unexpectedly puts the "Fun" in Thai Chow Fun. A confluence of 1950's kitschy quaint and curry, Lovely Day is outfitted with Formica-topped tables, an old wooden soda fountain bar, and a meat and veggie-filled Asian menu. Signature items include the ginger fried chicken with spicy aioli and the crispy banana roll topped with honey, sesame and il laboratorio's vanilla ice cream. For a lovely day during the work week, stop by for their lunch special: from noon-5pm, their ginger fried chicken with rice or a combo of any dumplings, noodle dishes or edamame are only $10. Note: Lovely Day accepts only AmEx credit cards, so come bearing cash and an appetite.
