Classic Brooklyn story: Carroll Gardens local sets out to preserve nabe candy shop, ends up blowing away the rest of the city with superlative pies. And then has to face backlash over jacked prices and long waits. Simple, rustic interior matches up with stripped-down menu: they got pizzas and calzones and that's it. The ‘za itself is classic Noo Yawk, thin, crispy crust cooked just right in the brick oven. BYO option good for a cheap(ish) date.
