Dallas » Restaurant » Bishop Arts District » Italian
Expect a month-long wait for weekend dining, thanks to a rave review from the NY Times. Dallas' "Best Restaurant" is an intimate, 36-seater from legendary Dallas chef David Uygur. Uygur's cult followers, done mourning the demise of his previous resto Lola, line up for the four-course, made-from-scratch Italian menu -- starters, pasta, entrees, and dessert. Early front runners include the salumi misti appetizer -- a selection of cured meats -- and the seared beef tongue. Primi dishes include ravioli stuffed with butternut squash, and Secondi plates bring the meat; lamb shoulder with olives and roasted pork belly with beans.
