One of NY's best small, cheap(er) bistros. Rules its loyal clientele with love. Steak frites, escargot, raw bar, and rabbit in Dijon mustard. Narrow, intimate space with requisite scratchy mirrors and miniscule bar. Snuggle in for an evening of Parisian passion. Late-night dining has been the opening scene of many an on-the-spur seduction. Has challengers for authenticity, but they're uptown and don't charge these prices. Loud, meaning great for someone you don't really want to talk to.
