J.Crew grooves to a boho beat with Madewell, its ladies-only, casual, younger and distracted cousin. The brand, which has been "making jeans since 1937" (apparently) opened its first shop in the Hamptons this spring. The denim-centric (skinny low, real straight, bootlegger, zip crop) selections now features gauzy scarves, strappy sandals, and soft Ts and cardigans. It's like J.Crew for people who don't want to look like they are wearing J.Crew.
