Until recently, fine dining at the swanky Bal Harbour shops was harder to come by than a half off sale at Gucci. Then Philly-based restarateur Stephen Starr snagged a prime spot there and changed things up with this haute homge to modern Asian and sushi by a young talent so impressive that Morimoto made him his head sushi chef in NYC. And it's not just sushi that the mod-Makoto does best. Frosty kobe fried rice, tuna air bread and a series of dishes that confound the tastebuds and the concept of Asian cuisine make Makoto a must on any food lover's list.
