Marni

Editorial Review

Unlike most brands, Marni fits in as well downtown as it does up. Idiosyncratic, colorful, and brave, this Italian label attracts a certain type of woman not identifiable by her neighborhood. Fittingly, brand now has NYC flagships in both halves of the city. A former art gallery, uptown location uses Marni's signature hanging display rails, which show off garments like pieces of art. Monochromatic lilac carpeting runs throughout the duplex space, creating a modern but welcoming atmosphere. You might be mesmerized by Marni's signature prints and bright colors, but don't forget to look up: natural fiberglass mannequins hang from the ceiling, outfitted in the brand's latest looks.
