The Marriot Waikiki isn’t technically on the beach, but it’s separated by the sand from only a stoplight and a crosswalk, so we’re not complaining. The best rooms face the ocean, giving you panoramic views of the beach below and front row seats for the sunset. Request accommodations on a high-up floor to give you a buffer from the street noise. The torch-lighting ceremony across the street is a must-see.
