Mary's Fish Camp

Editorial Review

A seaside shack in the West Village helps you forget that the closest body of water fronts the toxic smear of New Jersey. Oysters, steamers, cockles—if it comes in a shell, Mary Redding will crack it. Small, cute, tucked amidst the brownstones, fits little more than 20 campers at a time. If you need more elbow room, head for the Brooklyn outpost. The lobster rolls are luscious, and the mako shark BLT is surprisingly good.
