Just as the name implies, the Matchbox is a cramped, long room full of veteran beer-drinkers and literally every slice of Chicago bar-goer from tattooed rockers to off-duty stock traders. And that decommissioned traincar in back? They actually serve food in there. Go for the mixed drinks -- cosmos, sidecars, martinis, pink flamingos, whatever -- because they're done so remarkably well that you'll suddenly remember that drinks are mixed for a reason: because they taste good and they look cool.
