It’s no surprise that Matt Murphy’s is consistently voted one of the best pubs around. A classic Irish pub serving actually edible food might be an aberration, but here it’s a formula they do right. Try finding top notch twists on standards like the savory rabbit pot pie with sweet fruit chutney in the old country. The intimate space also manages to pack them in with top notch live talent playing dub, soul, Afro beat, folk and more. The fact that they have their own label putting out musical favorites should tell you how serious they take the jams here.
