Matthews Cafeteria

For more than a half century, this down-home spot has been scooping Southern comforts in cafeteria style for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Both blue and white collars line up, grab trays and utensils, and pick from a rotating roster of killer veggies --think fried green tomatoes and mac and cheese-- and high flying fried chicken, pork chops, country-fried steak and more. Nice touches include self-serve homemade lemonade and onion slices.
