Paris » Restaurant » Sentier » Spanish
Only weeks after opening in October 2008, this tiny tapas bar is already turning people away. With its narrow bar and four backroom tables, it can't accomodate all the word-of-mouth arrivals. The result: much lap-sitting and hovering, competition for surface area. People eat with their fingers while standing - a sight never before seen in Paris. Prices are cheap, €8-12 for small or large plates laden with mostly-Spanish bites. Offerings rotate - you'll find the expected tortilla and manchego but perhaps also foie gras with figs. Experimental Cocktail Club is right across the street, so plan on drinking your dessert.
