Mayfield Bakery & Café

Editorial Review

As it's tucked away into the new-ish yuppie strip mall right across the street from the Stanford campus, we overlooked this place for a couple months, but since we've met it's become habit. Bright, open, airy, faux-rustic interior with exposed supporting beams and a gorgeous long white marble bar, draws it's fair share of students and their parents, but growing a local following, as well. The warm, doughy, cruncy on the outside, chewy on the inside braided rolls are worth the trip alone. Salads are bursting fresh. Brunch is all about breakfast pizza and the great Niman Ranch burger.
