Melão

Editorial Review

Cramped kinda-restaurant more like hanging out in a bustling home kitchen...which makes sense, considering Melão used to just be catering. The real appeal here is the fact that an extensive menu boasts a variety of different cuisines, all done equally well. Definitely the only place in Buenos Aires where you can order tostones, Venezuelan appetizers, and jambalaya and be delighted with all three. Limited amount of tables means calling ahead is essential, though the woman who runs the show is a total sweetheart and will try to accomodate all your requests. A great date spot for foodies.
