Merc Bar

Editorial Review

Canoe, canoe? It's hanging above the bar and looks like it was designed by a mountain man who liked his martinis dirty. Deer horns, banquettes stretched with cowhide, and oilskin artwork carry on strange, pre-taxidermy-chic theme. Forgiving lights. Stiff, if pansy-named, drinks. Good for a discreet rendezvous. Rich cats blowing bank. Not keepin' the block hot like before, but enough copycats around that it can be sure of its legacy.
