The type of cafe you'd probably rather not eat in. Does that kitchen in back even work? Throngs of indie rockers and musicians from nearby practice spaces, plus the ghosts of scenes past haunt this classic dive. Jam quarters into the jukebox, shoot pool, or queue up for the toilets with the rest of the snotty crowd. Old timey waitresses and bar man are loveable but stern. Often the first, and last, destination of the night before rocking it at a show or a cramped Allston house party.
