Around 10 years ago, Momo was the restaurant that every celeb name-checked in interviews, and you could barely pick up a magazine without seeing photos of some socialite tumbling out of its front door after too many mint cocktails. Things have quieted down a bit, but Momo’s elegant, souk-like dining room–all low seating, subdued lighting and Moroccan fretwork–still fills up in the evening with an upmarket crowd, dedicated to such North African delights as duck tagine, spiced chicken breast with couscous and pigeon pastilla.
