This historic building is one of Austin's oldest. A carriage-house bar out back and the preponderance of bourbon on the drink menu contribute to a genteel old-South vibe. But neo-comfort food modernizes it. Consider molasses- and chile-cured pork chops. Or corn-dog shrimp. The large patios are the place to sit and hear music echoing off Sixth St. Hometown tennis hero Andy Roddick swears by it all.
