Attractive spot on Brooklyn's Fifth Avenue certainly looks the part following a major renovation. Floors: black-and-white tile. Mirrors: appropriately distressed. Menu includes all the French standards, from mussels mariniere and salade nicoise to duck leg confit and steak frites. Creme brulee for dessert will have you cracking the top with the back of your spoon, Amelie-style. Not quite Bouley-level cuisine, but hits the right notes for a fraction of the cost.
