BlackBook Lowdown

We knew something was afoot when they rocked the Zac Posen party opening week, so we ventured to the far reaches of gallery land to check in with Señor West (ex Opus 22 location). New owners tricked it out with gazillions of LED's drizzling from the ceiling, plus a sunken, plush lounge area with 18 tables stocked with pretty, thin cuties wiggling their way onto the dance floor. Party fueled by excellent acoustics—which we expect from a joint owned by a DJ—and absinthe cocktails that up the loopiness. West Side!

Lame, nothing really to it, full of the ex promoters from places such as Marquee and Stereo, music was typical hip hop. Ok looking crowd, stayed for one drink and bounced to beatrice, another let down.
