So how does a museum warrant mention as nightlife in North Miami? Well, aside from the fact that there is no real nightlife of substance in this tropical version of American Beauty-ville, MOCA plays host to art openings and sponsors open-air jazz shows, as well as schmooze-fests with free booze for the art crowd, concerts, and high-roller charity events. It's also quite a great contemporary art museum for this town.
