What about the former Nello’s Summertime spot appeals so much to the upscale Euro jet set? While the interior has not changed appreciably since Nello’s days (white, well-lit, wainscoted space, assorted modern impressionistic wall dressings) executive chef Emmanouil Aslanoglou has taken the menu from sleek to chic Greek (think soft shell crab moussaka and paper thin zucchini and eggplant chips with tzatziki). Regardless, the real hype generates from the attached lounge managed by Alex Julian (Dream Hotel) and Eric Marx. Expect long weekend lines of hopefuls vying to contribute their own scratch to the growing Grecian bailout.
