Native Foods Cafe

Editorial Review

This California-based vegan restaurant chain has staked its territory in Chicago with three neighborhood locations (Wicker Park, Lakeview and the Loop) opening in mid-to-late 2011. Healthy options like tempeh-topped macro bowls and Azteca salad, with quinoa, avocado and jicama salsa abound, but get your comfort food fix with chili cheese fries and nachos, too. Look online for a cooking class schedule if you’re so inclined to take the meat-free recipes home.
