With a Moby-Dick logo and creaky wood floors, the Paradise maintains some of the literary cache it had when it shared the space with a bookshop. Twists on standards like house favorite spice-rubbed rack of lamb keep the dining room packed at all times. Locals still haven't forgotten the doner the previously called the space home, but fixture Howie (“from O’Mally’s”), nearly an institution himself, at the bar and owner Robert Durkin give the place, converted from a local diner, a deeper sense of local heritage than it might deserve.
