Like the genre from which it gets its moniker, Noir is seriously dark. Bordering on ask for a flashlight to read the menu dark. That’s part of the draw. That is until late at night, when seemingly the entire staff of every restaurant in the area piles in, turning the usually chill vibe into a boisterous after work party. 2 am closing time helps lure the late shifters. In warm months outdoor patio is the scene in Harvard Square. Small bites and flatbreads are on point, but we’re here because we either want no one to see us in the day, or everyone to at night.
