Gone are the days of Ralph Kramdon escaping Alice's clutches for the bowling alley. Bowling is cool, and Ralph would have to compete with martini-swilling hipsters if he wants a lane, now. Philly's North Bowl rises to the top of local alleys as far as iconic appeal goes. The place is retro-chic, in that orange and tan '70s basement vibe, and the vintage lanes are still in tact. Full bar and tasty bites round it out as the perfect nighttime destination, just be sure to bring your competitive edge.
