Quiet soft opening led to less buzz for this Soho House-esque private club, which has no hotel but still sports two bars and a dining room spread over five floors. Hype seems to have caught up at last, with refugees from upscale hotspots taking up residence in posh, arty surrounds. Media and celebrity luminaries have become more regular, even though roster only supports 400 reported members as of early 2008. Get in as a guest, or prepare to shell out a king's ransom for membership.
