Chocoholics amalgamate at cake joint for its signature dessert recipe imported from Lisbon whose translated name says it like the owners believe it is: The Best Chocolate Cake in the World. While it may not reach that gold status for the more discerning cocoa-bean fan, old ladies who lunch and their daughters, plus men wholly accepting of their sweet tooth still pack it in (well, the 70% dark chocolate version packs in less fat compared to the 53% one) in the uncomplicated, no-frills café decorated with framed pictures of staff for chocolate meringue layered on flourless chocolate cake, especially during tea time. Window shoppers salivate while watching their equals indulge on the terrace. A true phenomenon for a place that survives only chocolate cake.
