Orient Lounge/ Rote Harfe

Editorial Review

Lo and behold, hidden directly above Rote Harfe's family-friendly restaurant is the Orient Lounge, where locals who know laze around harem-style, holding grape leaves and sucking on hookahs. Istanbul-kitsch décor of private booths shrouded under translucent veils (available for groups of up to ten people by reservation) and ornate floor pillows strewn across velvety banquettes lit by elaborate lanterns. Since Kreuzberg demographic is predominantly Turkish, regulars often fit the theme, adding authenticity to camp atmosphere of exotic delights.
